TELL ME MORE There was no sign, warning, or signal that could have prepared the residents of Fernley for the irrigation cannel to break way. But it did. . .in the middle of the night. Some awoke at 6:00 am to find white water gushing past their bedroom window. Children lost their Christmas presents, favorite books, blankets, slippers, and dolls. Some fled with such speed, that they only left with the cloths on their back. My martial arts instructor always said, “Be The Change You Want To See In The World”. For us in the Reno/Sparks area, Fernley is our next door neighbor. My next door neighbor can always call on me for anything. . . heck even a cup of sugar and eggs if they needed. From one town to another, Fernley is asking for a very large cup of sugar. But in this case, it comes in the form of lost Christmas toys, blankets, sweat shirts, dolls, books, . . . but most importantly, Love and Care. Everyone always talks about how we need to help one another in times of trouble. Now, lets walk the walk and show our community what we can do when we all join hands to make our community a better place. I promise you. . . we will all be impressed by what we can accomplish, but only if we do it together! To this I say: Lets make a difference, lets join hands, lets empower those around us, let’s be the change we want to see in the world. . . and lets inspire that change to ripple through our community and into our youth! I'M EXCITED....... LET'S GET STARTED!
